Prince Charles recently visited Huw Evans’ abattoir at Tregaron where Rob and other local butchers had the opportunity to meet him and discuss the importance of maintaining the local abattoir.  It was encouraging to see his interest in the sustainability of, and the difficulties facing small rural businesses.   During a meeting of the Cambrian Mountain Initiative which followed, he was presented with a Leg of Cambrian Mountain Lamb produced by John Griffiths of Pantmawr Farm, Pisgah and prepared by Rob Rattray Butchers.
